This course is ideal for individuals aspiring to become remedial massage therapists, particularly those interested in incorporating Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques. It builds upon the foundational principles of massage, including essential massage and assessment skills, client communication, and anatomy. The course also provides specialised training in Traditional Chinese Massage (Tui Na), which integrates Chinese Medicine theories such as Yin and Yang, Zang Fu organs, and Jing-Luo (channels) to help restore balance in the body and manage various health conditions through massage.

The course is delivered either on a full-time basis over 12 months or a part-time basis over 24 months. It consists of 4 terms with a blended delivery approach, combining online theoretical learning through an online platform with on-campus skill training.
Students typically attend 2 days on-campus session per week for 4 weeks each term, totalling 16 on-campus sessions throughout the course. These on-campus classes focus on developing remedial massage skills through hands-on practice, scenario-based simulations, and trainer-led discussions, helping students enhance their clinical problem-solving abilities and practical application.
Assessment tasks include written tasks, demonstrations, group assignments and role plays.
Students must complete at least 200 hours at the SITCM Teaching Clinic, applying their skills by treating clients under supervision to gain hands-on experience and prepare for professional practice.
